Best Free Adult RPG and Strategy Games on Steam
This list answers one narrow question: which Steam-verified adult games in AfterDark Plays' catalog carry an RPG or Strategy genre tag, cost nothing to install, and have actually shipped? It's built for players who want a tactical or role-playing layer — squad building, elemental counters, board positioning — rather than a pure merge, idle-clicker or visual-novel loop, without paying to start.
The order below is computed, not opinion-based: every fact is pulled straight from our games.json Steam data, the ranking runs on two checkable numbers explained below, and games that don't meet the RPG/Strategy tag test appear only in the Adjacent picks or Coming soon sections further down, clearly separated from the four ranked games.
How this list was made
Eligibility is mechanical, not editorial: a game qualifies for this ranking only if its Steam genre tags, as recorded in our games.json Steam data, include 'RPG' or 'Strategy', and its steam_status is 'released' — not 'coming_soon' or 'unreleased'. Running that test against our current catalog returns exactly four games: Lust Goddess, Everlusting Life, Horny Villa and Slut Squad.
Within that group of four, the order is set by two checkable criteria, applied in this order:
- Steam DLC count, first. A longer paid-DLC catalog isn't a quality signal by itself, but it's an honest, checkable proxy for how established a game is and how much the developer has kept investing in its paid content layer over time.
- Most recent Steam announcement date we track, as the tiebreaker when two games post the same DLC count. If two games also share the same latest calendar date, we break that tie using the higher (later-issued) Steam announcement ID, since Steam assigns those sequentially within a day.
Excluded from the ranking: games whose Steam tags are limited to Adventure and/or Casual, with no RPG or Strategy tag among them (they're named in Adjacent picks below instead); and any RPG- or Strategy-tagged game that hasn't shipped yet (it appears in Coming soon instead, never ranked alongside released games).
Placement note: the games we earn a commission on — partner-program titles, listed on our About page — come first; within each group the order follows the criteria stated above. No game pays a fee for its position.

Lust Goddess is the only game on this list carrying six Steam genre tags at once — Action, Adventure, Massively Multiplayer, RPG, Strategy and Free To Play — and it tops the ranking mainly on the strength of its paid-content layer: Steam lists 53 separate DLC entries for it, more than the other three ranked games combined. Developed and published by Pochemu LTD, it released on Steam on February 21, 2024 for Windows and Mac.
The RPG/Strategy tags line up with how it plays: you recruit mercenaries around a Commander and fight turn-based battles where Fire, Water, Earth and Light mercenary types each counter one of the others, so composition matters more than raw level. Steam's own feed shows twelve dated posts between August 12 and 27, 2026 alone, including three new Commander pairs and a rebalance patch. The base game and its Commander-and-mercenary loop are free; the DLC and in-app purchases sit on top. Full breakdown on the Lust Goddess profile, verified against its Steam store page.
Best for: Players who want the single deepest paid-content catalog and near-daily updates.
-
Everlusting Life carries the same six-tag spread as Lust Goddess — Action, Adventure, Massively Multiplayer, RPG, Strategy, Free To Play — and comes from the same developer and publisher, Pochemu LTD, but ranks second here because Steam lists 32 DLC entries for it against Lust Goddess's 53. It released on Steam on May 8, 2025 for Windows and Mac.
Where Lust Goddess plays card-first, Everlusting Life is built as an auto-chess RPG: you draft maidens each round and place them on a hex board, and matching factions and classes across your lineup is what triggers the bonuses that decide each auto-resolved fight — that's the Strategy tag in practice. Our tracker shows a near-weekly cadence through August 2026, with Time Rift story chapters and Awakening character events landing days apart (Aug 20, 21, 27 and 28). The Awakening Coin used in those events expires once the event closes, per the developer's own posts. See the Everlusting Life profile and its Steam page.
Best for: Auto-chess fans who want board positioning over direct card play, from the same heavily-DLC'd studio.
-
Horny Villa is tagged Casual, RPG and Strategy on Steam, alongside Free To Play, which is enough to clear this list's bar even though its DLC count sits at zero — the lightest paid layer of any ranked game here. Developed by GreenT and published by Nutaku Publishing, it's been live on Steam since November 7, 2024 for Windows, Mac and Linux, the only native Linux build in this ranking.
The RPG/Strategy tags describe its merge-and-management structure: you merge matching items on a board to earn resources, then spend them renovating a villa and unlocking characters, rather than fighting battles directly. With zero DLC, new content arrives through free, dated contract events instead — our tracker counted ten of them between June 18 and August 28, 2026, the most recent, 'Night of Wet Pussies', running August 27 to September 9. That August 28, 2026 post is what puts Horny Villa just ahead of Slut Squad below. Details on the Horny Villa profile and its Steam page.
Best for: Players who want the broadest platform coverage (Windows, Mac, Linux) with no DLC to track.

Slut Squad shares the Casual, RPG, Strategy and Free To Play tag set with Horny Villa and also lists zero Steam DLC entries, which puts these two games in a tie on the first criterion. Developed by Passion Panda and GreenT, and published by Passion Panda Publishing, it's the newest release of the four ranked games here, arriving on Steam on December 1, 2025 for Windows and Mac.
Its RPG/Strategy pairing plays out as an idle-merge structure: you recruit, merge and level up a crew of thieves, then spend the resulting resources building a hideout between heists. Our tracker's most recent dated post for it, 'Dick Search Girl: Detective', also lands on August 28, 2026 — the same calendar date as Horny Villa's latest post — so the tiebreaker comes down to the Steam announcement ID, and Horny Villa's is the later of the two, placing Slut Squad fourth. See the Slut Squad profile and its Steam page.
Best for: Players who want the newest of the four ranked games and an idle-merge heist loop.
Adjacent picks: a strategic card game just outside the RPG/Strategy tags
Some Steam adult games play close to RPG or Strategy territory without carrying either tag, so they can't be ranked above — only named. Harem of Lust: Battle Cards, developed by Asomgames and published by Passion Panda Publishing, released on Steam on July 16, 2025 for Windows, and its Steam tags stop at Adventure, Casual and Free To Play, with a DLC count of zero.
What earns it a mention here is the deckbuilding structure Steam's own listing describes: a collectible card game built around assembling a deck and chaining combos, the same skill set RPG/Strategy players tend to look for, even though Valve's tag set doesn't call it either. Steam's content descriptor marks it as explicit 18+ material and lists BDSM among its themes. See the Harem of Lust: Battle Cards profile and its Steam page.
Coming soon: an RPG-tagged game that hasn't shipped yet
Isekai: Waifu Overlord carries an RPG tag on Steam — alongside Adventure, Casual, Simulation and Free To Play — which would qualify it for this ranking on tags alone, but its steam_status is 'coming_soon', not 'released', so it's listed here rather than ranked. Developed by Passion Panda and GreenT and published by Passion Panda Publishing, its Steam page lists a release date of September 16, 2026.
Ahead of that date, our tracker shows a playable demo that went live on October 8, 2025 for that year's Steam Next Fest, and a July 28, 2026 post confirming the game had reached 65,000 Steam wishlists. Once it ships and this list is re-run, it will be judged on the same DLC-count and announcement-date rules as everything above. See its profile page and Steam listing.
Frequently asked questions
What makes a game 'RPG' or 'Strategy' on this list?
We use Steam's own genre tags, as recorded in our games.json Steam data. A game qualifies only if that tag list includes 'RPG' or 'Strategy' and its Steam status is 'released'. That test currently returns four games: Lust Goddess, Everlusting Life, Horny Villa and Slut Squad.
How is the order decided?
First by each game's Steam DLC count, higher first. When two games share the same DLC count, we break the tie using the date of the most recent Steam announcement we track for each; if that date also matches, we use the higher Steam announcement ID, since Steam issues those sequentially.
Horny Villa and Slut Squad both show zero DLC. Does that mean they have less content?
It means less paid DLC specifically, not less content overall. Both add new characters and events for free through dated, time-limited Steam announcements instead of paid expansions — our tracker shows both posting new events within a day of each other in late August 2026.
Is Harem of Lust: Battle Cards a strategy game?
Steam doesn't tag it that way — its listed genres are Adventure, Casual and Free To Play, so it doesn't meet this list's RPG/Strategy test. We still name it in the Adjacent picks section above because Steam's own listing centers it on deckbuilding and combos, a mechanic RPG/Strategy players tend to look for.
When is Isekai: Waifu Overlord coming out, and why isn't it ranked?
Its Steam page lists a release date of September 16, 2026. It carries an RPG tag, which would otherwise qualify it, but its Steam status is still 'coming_soon' rather than 'released', so this list places it in the Coming soon section instead of ranking it alongside shipped games.
Will this ranking change over time?
Yes. Both criteria — Steam DLC count and latest announcement date — can move: a new DLC listing, a fresh announcement, or a newly released RPG/Strategy-tagged game (including Isekai: Waifu Overlord after September 16, 2026) can all shift the order the next time this page is rebuilt from games.json.
